Hematite gets its name from Latin meaning "blood stone". In modern times we're more familiar with polished, silvery gray-black hematite, so the name blood stone seems strange. However, when found naturally, most hematite - an iron oxide ore - is red with rust, so that's how it got its name.
Stones are sold in pairs and chips are sold by weight (2 grams).
Please note: All stones are one of a kind and are hand picked for color and quality, then specifically cut and calibrated for nail art.. Once we sell out of a stone restocking it might be impossible and we may never have it again. Also note that the color you see may not be accurate due to the settings on different monitors, cell phones, laptops, etc.
